| The Greater Phoenix Chinese
Christian School was established in 1983 by brother Fred Wu. At that time, there were only
a dozen students in the school, and Fred Wu served as the first principal of the
school. after eighteen years of development, the school now consists of two hundred
and forty students in sixteen classes. |
| Our Teachers |
|
The school is affiliated with the
Greater Phoenix Chinese Christian Church. All the teachers and staff are dedicated
to glorify the Lord, and to edify other people, as well as pass on the Chinese
culture. Our teachers and assistants are selected from loving, enthusiastic, and
devoted coworkers with common goals. They encourage one another, and work together
as a team.
To meet the needs of different cultural
backgrounds and the changing trends of today, the teaching and administration are required
to be |

| professionally conducted and as
flexible as possible. In order to move towards perfection, the Greater Phoenix
Chinese Christian School (GPCCS) joined the South California Chinese School Union in December,
1990. Since then, the school has participated in various academic research
activities, sent teachers and coworkers to attend Chinese Teaching Training Programs, and
had several teachers receive overseas teacher training in Taiwan. |
| At GPCCS we hold regular
teacher/staff meetings to discuss teaching difficulties, share teaching results, exchange
new teaching knowledge, and pass on teaching insights. Over the years, these
meetings have greatly benefited the pedagogical method and improved the teaching effects. |
| In The Near Future |
|
| In the near future, we hope
to join the Chinese Teaching Training Program of the American National Foreign Language
Center, and thus expand the qualification of the teachers to recognized professional
standards. |
| The
Class and Curriculum |
There are nineteen
classes in the school. The class are divided according to the age, cultural
background and the level of Chinese training of the students. All students receive
two-hour intensive Chinese training on a weekly basis.

Qualification: From three and a half
years of age to adult. |
| Class Schedule: Every Sunday: 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM |
| Courses: From Sing & Play and Bo Po Mo Class to eleventh
grade Chinese class. |
| Special Class
(1): Bilingual class, Chinese
Conversation Class. |
| Special Class (2): SAT Enhancing Class. |
